Visiting a

Conservation Area

We ask all visitors to do their part to ensure our conservation areas are treated with respect. Following these simple rules and etiquette will help keep you safe while protecting the sensitive habitats and species at risk who call our conservation areas home.

General

All parks closed dusk to dawn.
No overnight parking.
No motorized vehicles allowed on trails.
No hunting.
Authorized use of trail only (hiking/walking).
Do not remove or destroy the wildlife/vegetation.
Access to water in designated areas only.
Fires allowed by permit only.
Carry out garbage or dispose properly in containers provided.
All group activities are by permit only.
Parking and rental fees must be paid before using facilities, where applicable.

Dogs

All dogs must be on leash at all times – no exceptions.
Always clean up after your pet and carry waste out.
No dogs allowed on beaches.
No dogs allowed at Perth Wildlife Reserve.

Camping

Camping by permit only.
Group camping only in designated spots with advance registration and payment

Winter Conditions

 Our conservation areas are open year-round, subject to winter conditions. Trails are not maintained in the winter (approximately November to April) and may be impacted by snow, ice or debris at any time. Roads are not maintained and may not be passable due to snow, ice or debris. All garbage, recycling and pet waste must be carried out.
