Beach

This spectacular sandy spot is popular for a reason: on top of the pristine swimming conditions on Lower Rideau Lake, it includes picnic tables, accessible change huts and outhouses and a mobility mat down to the water so you can make a full day of your visit. The beach is not supervised by a lifeguard. Dogs are not allowed but there is a dog swimming area downstream from the public beach.

Picnic Shelter and Tables

No trip to the lake is complete without a picnic! Rideau Ferry offers many picnic tables including a covered picnic shelter that can hold up to 10 tables. The shelter may be reserved in advance for a fee; otherwise it is first-come, first-served. Accessible picnic tables are also available.

Boat Launch

Access all of Rideau Lakes from this recently renovated public boat launch! Launch your motorboat using our spacious ramp, or drop your canoe or kayak in off the dock. NOTE: Beware of the shoal located just offshore of the boat launch. Markers should be in place during high season, thanks to volunteers from the Lower Rideau lake association.
