We are ready to start booking stream monitoring surveys for the month of July! 2022 stream surveys are being done on Sawmill Creek (Ottawa South) and Cardinal Creek (Orleans).
Stream surveys are scheduled with 1 or 2 volunteers and one staff member from our City Stream Watch staff crew. It is best to allow at least three hours to participate in stream surveys, which includes meeting at the site (the meeting site is near the creek), putting equipment on, running through safety procedures, hiking to the creek, and completing a few survey sections.
To see what days are available, please email us at . Let us know if you are interested in full days, mornings, afternoons or evenings. We make our schedule based on what days and times volunteers are available to come out, and we do our very best to accommodate everyone’s preferences and give everyone the chance to come out during the schedule period. We apologize in advance if we can’t accommodate all volunteer requests!
